The airport there is sadly very unorganized and most tourists are puzzled as soon as they get out of the arrivals section. Other than that, if you decide to go, make sure you arrange transportation from the airport to your destination. Keep in mind I was raised in the city and I never had a problem with safety, but if you're going to the Countryside this may be a different story (I heard it's safer there). This may come off as a little weird but: the less you look/dress like a tourist, the safer you will be.įinally (kinda hurts to say it but.): don't trust anyone unless they have proven to be trustworthy. If staying in a hotel, lock your valuables away in the safe (if provided) at all times. For instance if you have a backpack, don't just leave it lying around.
